Our interior design project in Cluj is a testament to the fact that aesthetics and functionality can go hand in hand to create an exceptional space. The kitchen, the heart of the home, is a spacious and well-organized area where every detail has been carefully chosen to create an exceptional culinary experience.

Japandi Bloom is a family home in Alba Iulia, designed around the routines, preferences and individual needs of its owners. Rather than treating each room separately, the project creates a consistent visual language throughout the house while allowing different spaces to respond to different ways of living.

The main living floor brings the kitchen, dining and lounge areas together in an open, connected layout. In the kitchen, extensive custom cabinetry provides generous storage while maintaining a clean architectural presence. The island extends into the dining table, creating a natural transition between cooking, eating and spending time together. In the living room, soft furniture, warm wood and tactile finishes balance the openness of the space and make it feel comfortable and lived-in.

On the same floor, a separate multifunctional room was designed to accommodate both work and movement. A dedicated home office shares the space with a workout and Pilates area, allowing the room to adapt easily to different moments of the day. An oversized circular mirror serves a practical purpose for exercise while becoming the defining visual element of the room.

Colour was approached in an equally personal way. Pink, the client's favourite colour, appears in carefully selected moments throughout the house, from soft blush furniture elements to warmer terracotta and dusty pink surfaces in the bathrooms and private areas. Olive green introduces a deeper, earthy contrast in the living room, while light wood and warm neutrals create continuity between the different spaces.

The name Japandi Bloom reflects this balance: a calm, natural foundation with softer and more expressive touches layered into it. The project is ultimately less about following a particular style and more about creating a home that feels organized, comfortable and distinctly personal to the people living in it.
