About
I’m Laura Ciobanu, interior designer and founder of Designoir Interiors.
My background is in architecture, having graduated from the Faculty of Architecture and Urban Planning in Cluj-Napoca. I started my career working on commercial interiors, including offices and restaurants, before gradually shifting my focus towards residential design.
Since 2019, residential interiors has been the main focus of my work. I approach each project individually, looking first at how a home needs to function, then at the materials, colours, lighting and details that give it its own identity.
Designoir Interiors grew from this approach: creating considered, personal interiors rather than applying a predefined style. I like homes with character, and I believe good design should feel connected to the people who live there.

My approach
I believe a good interior starts with understanding how someone lives, not with choosing a style.
My work balances functionality with a strong visual identity. I look at the architecture of the space, proportions, circulation and practical needs before developing the materials, colours, lighting and details that give each project its character.
I don't work towards a signature look. The aim is to create an interior that feels specific to its owners, considered in every detail and designed to work naturally for years to come.
