Colour in Between is a family home in Cluj-Napoca designed around the idea that a practical, comfortable interior does not have to rely on a neutral palette. Colour is introduced throughout the house in measured, carefully chosen moments, giving individual spaces their own character while maintaining a sense of continuity.

The living and dining areas were conceived as a warm, flexible setting for everyday family life. Natural wood and soft neutral surfaces create the foundation, while blue, green and earthy accents bring depth and personality. Custom furniture integrates storage into the architecture, allowing the main spaces to remain open and visually balanced.

In the kitchen, functionality shaped many of the design decisions. Generous cabinetry is complemented by a separate pantry, providing additional storage away from the main workspace and helping maintain a clean, organized environment. The same attention to practical use continues upstairs, with a dedicated laundry area and storage solutions integrated throughout the home.

Private spaces were given more freedom to reflect their individual purpose. The child's room introduces a playful interpretation of the overall palette, while the home office is designed as a comfortable and functional space that still feels connected to the rest of the house. Bathrooms follow the same approach, using colour, material and texture to create distinct atmospheres rather than repeating a single formula from room to room.
