Eclectic Affair is a family home in Cluj-Napoca shaped around a love for colour, classical details and botanical references. Rather than following a single decorative style, the interior brings together familiar pieces, custom furniture, pattern and colour to create a home that feels personal, layered and lived-in.

Existing elements were kept wherever they mattered to the family and became part of the new design rather than something to work around. Deep blues, olive and forest greens, warm yellows and natural wood create continuity between rooms, while wallpaper, framed cabinetry and brass details introduce a more classical character.

Each space was allowed to develop its own atmosphere. The living area combines generous book storage with the family's existing furniture and a richer palette, while the bedroom takes a quieter approach through dusty blue, warm wood and subtle pattern. In the home office, deeper greens create a more immersive setting, and the bathrooms explore the botanical side of the concept through floral motifs, traditional forms and unexpected colour.

Throughout the project, practical requirements and personality were treated with equal importance. Storage is integrated generously across the home, materials were selected with everyday family life in mind, and decorative choices were used where they could have the most impact.

Eclectic Affair is a home built around its inhabitants rather than a prescribed aesthetic: colourful, slightly whimsical and intentionally individual.
